MEET DR. BRYANT BONNER

Alexander P. Sah

Welcome to Sah Orthopaedic Associates at the Institute for Joint Restoration! Thank you so much for choosing us for your care. We hope that this website is valuable in providing an introduction to our unique program and an overview of my background. At the end of the day, this website is simply a guide, and we look forward to developing a personal relationship with you soon as we strive to offer the best care for your hip, knee, and now, shoulder!

I was born and raised in Sacramento before heading back east to Boston for college. I received my undergraduate degree from Harvard University and my medical degree from Harvard Medical School. I then completed my orthopaedic surgery residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program which provided me the opportunity to work at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center. I was also selected to serve as Chief Resident at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and helped to navigate our residency program during the early throes of the COVID pandemic. Upon completion of my residency, I pursued further specialized fellowship training at the Hofmann Arthroplasty Adult Reconstruction/Arthroplasty Fellowship program in Salt Lake City, UT focused on minimally invasive hip and knee replacement, complex and revision hip and knee replacements, as well as shoulder replacements.

Despite a long period of time away, my commitment to Northern California remained strong and I am elated to be back in the Bay Area as a part of Sah Orthopaedic Associates. Like Dr. Sah, I value personal relationships above all and pride myself on being available to my patients as we develop a long lasting relationship. I am excited to offer:

  • Minimally Invasive primary hip and knee replacements
  • Muscle sparing anterior hip replacements
  • Robotic Assisted Knee Replacement Surgeries
  • Complex hip and knee revision surgeries
  • Partial Knee Replacements
  • Knee Arthroscopy

More Information can be found on the sidebar to the left.

I hope the information provided here provides you with a useful introduction to our program and to my background. I look forward to meeting you and having the opportunity to help you in any way that I can.

Approach

The patient comes first.  Like Dr. Sah, I believe that the relationships we form with our patients is fundamental to our practice. While it is easy to get lost in the imaging, lab work, and medical jargon of our progression, we value ourselves on the ability to step back and focus on the patient at the center of it all. It is those physicians that took the extra step of making that connection with my family growing up that we still remember and sought out when we needed care. We aim to earn that special place for our patients as well by not only offering excellent medical care, but also with the special personal touch as well.
